I ordered this for my husband who has had an unstable ankle since injuring it as a child. While exercising the muscles help to grow them to support his bones and joints, he still has pain after standing or walking for long periods of time. This helps him deal with it, as it does not always feel better after just one night of rest. While support socks and wraps typically help some, the issue of changing and washing them is too much for his impatience... so he just pops this brace off and washes and dries it quickly before showering each morning. About the most difficult thing is finding shoes that fit both feet...While I am not sure about the durability of the plastic yet, the other main drawback is its cost. There is no reason that a plastic framework like this should cost about 290USD. This is the problem with the entire medical industry, they always want to charge a huge premium for something that is virtually free or terribly simple. I am rating this three stars, as it works with caveats... though it is not a great product nor a great value, it is a rich person's convenience. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...Product hardened while mixing and was unable to pour into mold and was very hot to the touch and remained that way for quite some time, however was not maliable at all. For me, this is the easiest thing available. It has a 2-year shelf life, and because you don't add the curing agent until you need it, you have 15 minutes to fix this "cast" to the right size and position on your lower leg, foot or ankle. It takes up very little space in my prep room.This is good to have. My husband sprained his ankle over 15 years ago and every time he steps incorrectly the pain returns. This has helped him. It was easy to put on and best part it wasn't heavy and didn't felt bulky.
